good, no cancellation. i'll be there, then. hopefully. i will bring some stuff, namely a mix for you, mike. just a token of appreciation for all the cool mixes you've given me. i will not, however, do any crap related to picking up the open microphone, even though i did make up a few things on my bass guitar this evening. it's all very raincoats-esque. i did not know i was such a happy-sounding person. it's likely that no person will ever hear any of the things i wrote today, as i will forget all of it.

well, looks like theres a show tommorow night. we got 'the return of' Hong Kong Electric Company. hell yeah. you know the shows gotta be good if hong kong is playing. they make it worthwhile. who else is playing? dancing nancies, mike tv, and maybe another band? i just wanted to tell everyone on the guestbook about it. perhaps mike will fill in the blanks. time, admission, the other band, etc... i'm gonna go see eternal sunshine of the spotless mind tonite. if you put michael gondry, charlie kaufman, and jim carrey working together for one movie, not to mention kate winslet (excrutiatingly pretty) and elijah wood (certainly not an eyesore himself), you got yourself a winner. mike, paige, tracy, luke, and myself will probably have glowing reviews when we get back. that article jj left about those dirty republicans should certainly be read by all voters. everyone gonna vote this year? you better!

hi, this is from jj. I just thought you folks might want to read about how the Rebublican party is trying to deceive people into believing that the environment is all fine and dandy. click on "lets get a little lying in today" below. it's not long. stay informed. by the way, the rtape show at cafe ballistico was indeed amazing. best show i've seen. the sound just melted me. man, i sure wish rebekah's tape lived in my living room. mmmmmmmm....
lets get a little lying in today

I miss you guys already. From what I've seen, Sunday must have been very rad up in Elmhurst. I hate being at school and having obligations that keep me from going to see you everytime you play. I don't quite know why I'm signing this right now, my brain isn't functioning. Well, love you guys as always, miss you all much, see you on the 23rd...time to shower.

too early, roomie would kill me, 9:08am 4/7/04 -
well i suppose its my turn to sign the guestbook. kinda all right-in-a-row deal huh? well the cafe ballistico show last night in elmhurst was perhaps the most interesting place we've played. there was amazing art everywhere, crazy lights. it seemed like if we had our own venue, it would be much like this. junk-art overload. many people there very pleasant and friendly and not the uber-hip-cold-ass-pretentious-"i look awesome"-type of crowd that mike mentioned. i've seen alot of that in chicago. perhaps this interesting bunch of people are so sick of mundane SUBURB life they create their own art-overload reality. much like how our group of friends are very sick of our mundane RURAL-SMALL-TOWN life. something to think about. i dug the other bands that played too. i stuck around for earl grey. which is very pretty ambient-guitar-jazz in the vein of moods that sea and cake and red house painters and bark psychosis make me feel. but get this, theres a BALLISTICO FEST weekend... may 22-23, in yorkville. "2 nites, 2 days, music, food, camping, byob" with 15 bands including von frickle, which many rebekah's tape friends also enjoy. all the other bands are ballistico bands. only 16 bucks for the whole thing presale. www.ballisticofest.com alright, thanks tracy, luke, jj, melissa, and derick for coming along and keeping us company/helping us with shit. perhaps illinois isn't that boring after all.

i thought that ballistico was great. it was apretty cofortable place. a bit strange at first not knowing anyone and stuff but i soon got over that. a small dim lit place. very personal i think. it makes me sad to know that the place will soon be torn down. i met some very cool people. yeah i am going to go now i will come back later i suppose. see everyone later.

cafe ballistico was extremely fun, i'll comment. i very much hope we can somehow be in touch with some of the niceys we met. so so nice: reassuring & redeeming. chicago apparently not mere haven for snobberizing rubber lie faced hipster, costume wearing acting dolls. i knew it deep down but there was PROOF! yay(!)~

hey what's up everyone! Thanks for going to the show on saturday, it was a lot of fun. So who's going to coin the word n.a.r.b.? because it's a damn good word...and it's funny. could you just imagine yourself at a family reunion, and it happens....so instead of telling your parents or whoever asks you what's wrong, just yell n.a.r.b. on your way to a "safe place." haha...good word good word...n e who..i must go now..
goodbye for now...

hey there. i just wanted to thank all those involved with the show last night. it was amazing.
lying there on the disease ridden floor, i felt each muscle let go of its tight grip on my gentle, ivory bones, as the lights flashed to show the aura of self that floated above my relative existence and the slight outline of my own eyes staring directly into themselves on the back of my eyelids.
each chord, note, echo blended into a perfect swirling universe, as i opened myself and invited the deep planets to rush through me, making me the blackness of space, and each note, a thriving life force revolving inside the my intricate spiritual system.
thanks. i left feeling more alive, humble, and self-aware than i have in quite some time. so drained of energy, but so eager to hop the train car of life and ride it into eternal sunshine.

i just wanted to remind any showgoers about the show tommorow. get ready for some death metal and some not death metal. also we're playing sunday april 4th, in Elmhurst (suburb of chicago) @ Cafe Ballistico (www.cafeballistico.com). hopefully i could borrow my moms car and i could fit a passenger or two. since we're not doing PA, i'm sure we could squeeze a couple friends in. bad dudes gonna rock the house tommorow. check out plays at IVCC and St. Bede if you get a chance. local arts, ya dig?

Jungle Brothers, 11pm 3-26-04 -
so i heard that there was this band that plays the same type of music we do right. so i went to check them out and see just where they were coming from so i went with the intent to kick some asses right(by kick some asses i meant i was prepared to lay in the fetal position on the ground while the band members were standing above me and repeatedly kicking me while i was peeing blood uncontrolobly)so i went and i met a few cool people and heard some music. i heard no band really even close to our type of rock. the band's name was junior varsity. while not exactly my type of music they played very well. everything seemed to be very tight and well balanced(as opposed to the the band before them where all i heard was a snare drum and a bass guitar)the band used some weird sounds perhaps that is what people met when they compared us with them but really in the small occasion they made the sounds it made methink of the rentals. but they sound more like ....hm....a band like incubus rather then us. sorry i am just going on and on i am at work and bored. and i just thought i would share what i saw last night, granted it is not as interesting as the story about my friend who decided it would be a good idea to take off his clothes and run through the (i know how this sounds) meat packing plant and eh ran out the back door with a half of a cow hanging out of his ass. now THAT is a good story.anyway i am sure i have annoyed you nice people way too much these past few days so i am gonna go for now but i am sure i will get borted in about an hour and come here again. bye bye.
