Rebekah's Tape T-Shirts have been added to the rebekah's tape homepage as an Item For Sale...Ten Dollars for a shirt with a very cool drawing by Mr. Shawn Cummings. There's a bunch available primarily in S, M, and Large sizes. There may be an XL or two in there...wouldn't hurt to ask.
AMALGAMATED (Cory & Mike from R. Tape, Bob from Headless Ballerinas Underwater, and Phil Klampe of Homogenized Terrestrials) has been working steadily on what will be their first full length album; sculpting roughly 60-70 minutes of prime material from 30+ hours of improvisations recorded 2004-2007. Hopefully it will be finished some time in the first few months of 2011.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2010:

We have just uploaded a full song, Headless Ballerinas Underwater's cover of Brian Eno's "The Fat Lady of Limbourg", located on Headless' CHUM TIDE page. Right click on that sucker, download it, listen, and enjoy. Hats off to Mr. Eno. Maybe while you're at it, take a listen to the other Chum Tide samples. It's a unique creation that we're proud to have amidst our other babiez.

There is a Rebekah's Tape Live DVD from a show recorded May 16, 2009 in the works. The show was recorded at the Illinois Brewing Company in Bloomington, Illinois on 4 cameras. It features Stevell Larbjiv, and a wrestling match between Stevell and a huge guy in a bear costume. It's a pretty fun show. The DVD will also feature a short profile documentary about Stevell Larbjiv. It should be available some time in September.

****WE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH STREAMING OUR MP3 SAMPLES****
The samples have been playing a second or so and stopping. If you have any problems with playback of mp3 samples on our site, please just right click on the text link to the mp3, select "save link as", choose a location on your computer to save the file, and download the mp3 in order to hear the full sample. It should work just fine doing it this way. We hope to get this figured out soon.

MAY 2010:

We are alive!!! After about 3 years of not tending to this website at all, we are back in business, attempting to be active; tweaking old content, adding new content, finishing some recordings, etc.

We have deleted our old guestbook, which unfortunately we were not able to fix due to elongated periods of crazy busyness; moving onward, upward, learning new good skillz, & acquiring powerful new toolz. In its place we provide this here page of contacting information for anyone who would like to comment on individual projects or the intangible cat thing as a whole.Any of the below websites or emails are relevant for such commenting and communication. The groups listed are our most active music creators. If you wish to contact any of our visual artists, their personal contact info is listed on their art page, if they've chosen to make it available.

MISCELLANEOUS POTENTIAL FAQ:

All releases thus far at Intangible Cat are D.I.Y. CDR/DVDR releases with hand-prepared materials. We started out using cassette tapes in the late 90's with MAKESHIFT Music, etc. and Eeffoc & Maps, but with the simplicity of CDRs and such we switched over in the early 00's. We may branch out to putting out some vinyl and/or non-CD-R Compact Discs in the future.

All of our available recordings can be ordered through PayPal. You can use a credit card through PayPal or link it up to your bank account to debit directly out of there when you buy things. If you don't have PayPal or would prefer to send a check or money order through the mail, we love getting mail and corresponding with individuals so go right on ahead by all means!

Intangible Cat focuses primarily on experimental-type music and arts, and/or anything else we find to be outstanding or fun in distinctive ways.

We are a pretty close knit group of artists/friends who release our own stuff. We aren't actively seeking artists to add to our roster, though every once in a while it does happen. That being said, we are open to contributing to and/or putting out split releases and compilations. Just email the central email address or consult the individual artist you're interested in doing a split or other collaborative activity with...

The vast majority of available recordings on intangible cat are "studio recordings", not representative of any live performance entity...but a few entities responsible for recordings have performed in the past and/or currently perform. We have attempted to link the artists' home pages (where applicable) from the page of each release in the catalog, so information on past/upcoming performances, or lack thereof, is available. Performance schedule and contact information for our currently active performance entities can be found at the bottom of this page.

We are open to doing trades for most of our releases. Just email and propose what it is that you'd like, and what it is you'd like to trade us for it. We'll figure out a good switchjob.

Yes, Stevell Larbjiv is still alive. He lives in Ohio now.
